Barbados Ratings Up

Barbados’ credit worthiness took a big leap up out of default territory as a credit ratings agency today lifted its foreign currency ratings by six notches.

S&P said it could raise the ratings over the next year should the Government adhere to its ambitious fiscal targets and reform agenda, which could strengthen investor confidence and contribute to improved gross domestic product growth prospects.
